Description of Work

The University of Nebraska Public Policy Center (PPC, Lincoln, NE) is seeking a postdoctoral fellow based in Lincoln to perform targeted violence research (e.g., threat assessment, workplace violence, stalking, terrorism). The fellowship is a two-year appointment. The goal of the fellowship will be to develop advanced research and consultation skills to address various areas of targeted violence. In addition to joining ongoing research activities examining various aspects of the prevention, detection and management of targeted violence, the fellow will assist with the development of new research efforts. The postdoctoral fellow will join a diverse research interdisciplinary team within the PPC that engages in a variety of research and consultation activities involving private and public sector partners. The postdoctoral fellow will be mentored by Public Policy Center researchers on grant writing, publishing, and other research-related activities, and s/he will be able to engage in deictic activity to supplement existing expertise, if desired, at the University of Nebraska.

Minimum Required Qualifications

The postdoctoral fellowship is open to applicants who will have successfully completed an APA-accredited doctoral program in psychology and, when applicable, an APA-accredited internship by September, 2018. Applicants must complete all doctoral requirements before commencement of the fellowship.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior research experience is preferred. Experience with applied research design, methodology, and statistical analysis is also preferred.
