Description of Work

Assist half-time in the Nebraska Union Cash Office and half-time for the Office of Student Affairs.
Responsible for daily reconciling and replenishing the Nebraska Union cash fund. Prepare cash drawers for the Welcome Desk, Student Organizations and Financial Services and Starbucks. Prepare and verify departmental cash banks and conduct unannounced audits of departmental cash registers. Process paperwork that backs up bank deposit. Assist with cash-handling and credit card processing. Train cashiers in cash handling procedures. Responsible for ordering inventory for the cash office. Fill in for Cash Office manager in his/her absence to include: handling crisis situations, being proficient with cash register programs and spreadsheet operation.
Office of Student Affairs duties:
Process Student Affairs invoices for payment, reconcile Student Affairs cost centers and prepare a monthly financial statement for Student Affairs.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree plus 2 years in customer service experience; equivalent education/experience will be considered. Microsoft Excel experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree; SAP experience; cash handling; excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills, ability to communicate clearly and accurately, and ability to multi-task.
