Description of Work

Responsibilities include:
a) conducting methodologically sound independent research to advance the methodological knowledge base in ecological methods for the educational, social, and behavioral sciences;
b) developing and executing leading edge research concerned with the dynamic and multilevel interactions among families, schools, and communities;
c) providing statistical and methodology expertise for interdisciplinary grant writing teams;
d) consulting with researchers on research design and data analytic procedures;
e) providing instruction/educational experiences to faculty affiliates and graduate students;
f) co-developing training and education grants to attract and prepare interdisciplinary researchers and graduate students; and
g) mentoring post docs and graduate students affiliated with the Nebraska Academy for Methodology, Analytics, and Psychometrics.

Minimum Required Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with a completed doctorate in quantitative methods, statistics, psychometrics, or a related field to begin as soon as possible. Expertise in structural equation modeling, generalized linear mixed modeling, longitudinal data analysis, complex survey data, or a related approach is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in the design and analysis of applied research in the education, social and behavioral sciences is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in grant writing and evidence of the potential to secure external grants both independently or collaboratively are highly preferred. Experience or interests in experimental and quasi-experimental design, program evaluation, educational measurement, instrument development, cost effectiveness analysis, or applied statistics are also preferred.
