Description of Work

The Department of Finance in the College of Business at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is seeking applicants for one tenure-track or tenured position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in finance starting fall 2018.

The position will include a competitive teaching load at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, along with service expectations. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, and will be competitive with Big Ten Universities.

Minimum Required Qualifications

All candidates must have a Ph.D. (or near completion) in finance or a related discipline.

For the Assistant Professor position, the successful candidate should show evidence of or potential for developing and maintaining a significant research program consistent with Big Ten finance programs.

For the Associate Professor position with tenure, the successful candidate must have a significant and established research program. We are particularly interested in individuals with a strong trajectory of future publications in top tier journals in finance, and skills that will complement and enhance the department’s Ph.D. and executive education programs.
