Description of Work

This position works under the supervision of the business and operations manager in performing a variety of complex administrative activities, HR and payroll support for senior staff members and administrators, travel coordination and classroom control and reporting. Duties include, but are not limited to, payroll functions; appointments with faculty; employee orientation; student workers; key management/facilities access; records management/maintenance; travel coordination; classroom schedules/reports; facilitating curriculum/enrollment requests and reports; assisting with administrative functions and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree plus one year of progressively responsible office experience, including direct experience in office coordination (i.e. prioritizing work assignments, maintaining work flow to meet deadlines, etc.) required; equivalent education/experience considered. Ability to effectively interact with the public, students, faculty and staff necessary. Must have knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation and the ability to utilize proper standard office source manuals. Ability to operate standard office equipment essential. Ability to compose correspondence required. Must possess word processing skills. Ability to work under pressure and multi-task/prioritize responsibilities essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred. Two or more years of experience in clerical accounting/bookkeeping desirable. Prefer ability to perform the functions consistent with intermediate word processing and Excel and advanced database applications.
