Description of Work

Work with Assistant Registrar to implement and maintain existing and new software that supports the campus community (undergraduate education, advising community, admissions) with student information needs. Conduct systems administration and testing system modifications and troubleshooting. Conduct systems administration query writing, reporting and data analysis. Leads in developing needed reports emanating from the information systems. Aid in the development of system communication; preparation of documentation of best practices for use at UNL; and in preparation and delivery of training to UNL personnel and students. Respond to general inquiries and a wide range of questions or concerns associated with the software and student degree attainment related policies and procedures.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of experience with information systems and preferably in a higher education setting required; equivalent education/experience considered. Knowledge of information systems necessary. Must have ability to conduct database queries and report writing.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those Bachelor’s degree holders in MIS, education or business. One to three years of full-time, applicable employment experience desirable. Knowledge of how university work is accomplished helpful.
