Description of Work

Work in a copy and print production environment operating high speed digital printers. Be the primary point of contact for our clientele base delivering exceptional customer service. Offer guidance and assistance to clientele, providing them with a positive encounter to encourage trust to facilitate repeat business. Communicate with clients to assist in development of their projects from conceptual stages through final project completion. Process orders to include: estimating and pricing of orders, using software and creating accurate digital file transfer and storage, ordering supplies, operating and maintaining various copy, print, and bindery machinery, packaging and completing orders, and maintaining a cash register. Utilize equipment of all Copy Center facilities through communication and coordination during high production demand periods while prioritizing daily production needs. Responsible for the operations of a satellite copy center on East Campus with minimal supervision. Includes hiring, training and scheduling of student workers. Complete any other related duties as required by management.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High school education plus five years of experience operating high-speed digital printers and copiers; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience including processing print orders, digital file transfer, and storage. Must have a high level of computer proficiency including the ability to use email, Adobe Acrobat, and order entry software; maintain digital files; and operate workflow equipment software. Must have the ability to impose files for efficient printing and be familiar with variable data to guide staff in best monthly production methods. Knowledge of inventory processes and procedures to guide projects through production efficiently. Ability to evaluate personnel’s strengths and weaknesses to enable their ongoing training and best utilize coworkers to complete projects on a tight schedule. Must demonstrate excellent customer service, sales, and marketing skills. Experience must demonstrate the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment requiring a high level of multitasking.

Preferred Qualifications

Post secondary education in business management or a related field of study. Cash handling experience. Experience using Adobe PDF, Fiery, Prisma, Prepare, and Micropress software. Knowledge of basic layout and design for printing purposes.
