Description of Work

The University Health Center (UHC) on the UNL campus at Lincoln, under Nebraska Medicine Leadership, is recruiting a full-time, Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic, collaborative and growing team.

UHC serves the UNL student body of over 25,300 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. UNL draws students from all 50 states and over 130 foreign countries. We also provide certain services to the UNL faculty and staff as well as the community.

Support management and/or applicable department(s) by providing clerical and general office support, logistical coordination, and assistance with fiscal/data management.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year clerical/general office experience required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel required.
• Ability to problem solve required.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to multi-task required.
• Demonstrated organizational skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Post-secondary education preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Demonstrated customer service skills preferred.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with 90% accuracy preferred.
