Description of Work

Provide high level administrative support to the Director of the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts in a fast-paced office environment. Organize and conserve the Director’s time, provide clerical, and logistical support for the Carson Center, and assist in daily planning processes and special events. Assist in the generation of social media content and oversee the Carson Center’s presence on social media platforms. Assist to coordinate travel for visiting guests and faculty hires. Reconcile time sheets and SAP paperwork for the Center.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree in communications, business, or related field plus two years of office related experience and/or customer service experience; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software. Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or related field preferred. Prefer experience in an office setting to include communication responsibility; experience generating social media content; and University experience. Skilled with Microsoft Word and Excel, content management systems such as Drupal and Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite or the equivalent, and Macintosh.
