|Description of Work||

Provide technological leadership to include research, planning and adopting emerging computing and communication technologies in support of NET, a state-of-the-art telecommunications facility serving Nebraska.
Responsibilities include oversight of hardware, software and infrastructure; development and execution of policies, budget, and strategy; planning and implementation of IT projects; and contract management.
Manages team that is responsible for implementing and supporting various platforms including but not limited to Windows and Linux servers, LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, VMware and Hyper-V virtualization, Avid editing systems, broadcast and OTT distribution and storage related networking needs, Network Security, Remote and Cloud-based applications, backups and disaster recovery planning.
To be successful in this critical role requires self-motivation, a strong work ethic and can do attitude. The candidate must be interested in continued learning and be proactive in seeking ways to utilize technology in support of business initiatives.
|Minimum Required Qualifications||
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field plus five or more years of relevant computer experience, including three years technical management and staff supervision required. An equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, and work experience will be considered. Experience must include a combination of the following: hands-on experience working with Windows Server (2003, 2008R2, 2012R2) and PC operating systems, Mac and Linux experience is a plus; monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning network and related hardware devices and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VPN, and network storage devices/systems (ISCSI, NFS, CIFS); application support, including Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio); Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, Distributed File System Replication (DFSR); deploying, monitoring, and performance tuning backups and disaster recovery solutions; security experience including drive encryption, intrusion prevention/detection systems, and virus/malware protection software.
Must also have the following abilities: install VMware ESXi and Hyper-V host clusters on bare metal and configure networking and storage; effectively communicate with end users at all levels of the corporate structure including executives, senior staff, technical, and non-technical personnel; work independently and manage time effectively.
Must have the following skills: project management and presentation skills.
Experience working with cloud based applications and services, such as Office 365. Experience configuring Wireless access points and Wireless LAN controllers, and experience troubleshooting wireless infrastructure issues. Experience with automated imaging and software deployment tools, such as Windows Deployment Services (WDS) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Experience with Microsoft clustering and high-availability. Experience installing, configuring, and managing Exchange, SharePoint, and Microsoft SQL server. Experience with Broadcasting and IP Technologies. MCP, MCSA, MCSE, CCENT, CCNA certifications preferred.
