|Description of Work||

Perform network and server support for physical and/or virtual systems residing in NETs enterprise and broadcast environments. Maintain and configure firewalls, routers, enterprise networking, proxies, VPN, PBX, VMWare, SAN, fiber connectivity, and Windows/Linux servers. Design, install and integrate systems for the NET Network Operations Center and Transmission sites. Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems for the Network Operations and Production System. Install, load and configure new servers and computer hardware to be used in the network operations center.
Install computer hardware and software, provide maintenance for PC’s, laptops, printers, and associated peripherals for NET. Provide end user support for enterprise level applications and Avid editing applications. Research information pertaining to the integration of computer hardware and software for the Avid Unity Editing environment. Provide technical support for the IS Helpdesk and Avid editing platform users. Create and maintain images used to load NET’s computer hardware. Move computer hardware and help maintain the computer hardware and software inventory.
|Minimum Required Qualifications||
Associates degree in computer science, information technology or closely related field plus one (1) year of experience working in an IT computer support environment; equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered. Certifications may substitute for experience. Knowledge of networking and an understanding of firewall fundamentals. Familiarity with virtual environments and support of enterprise applications. Experience must demonstrate hardware and software troubleshooting skills, Microsoft networking and server skills, enterprise networking skills, Microsoft desktop operating systems skills. Must possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
Ideal Candidate will have experience with: Avid, Cisco routing, Cisco routing, fiber-optic network connectivity systems (including Storage and inter-operation), Familiarity with PCs, Mac computers, laptops and other computer peripherals. Understanding of non-linear video editing including storage and inter-operation. Mac and Linux OS Skills. Familiarity with VPN configurations.
